Addis Ababa, Ethiopia trip

Ethiopia currently has three neurosurgeons for a population of 81,000,000. Volunteers will be responsible for teaching Ethiopian neurosurgery residents at the Myungsung Christian Medical Center in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. This hospital is well equipped with an operative microscope, Stryker drill, C-Arm etc.

The next scheduled trip is Sept 8 to 19 but due to extreme shortage of qualified neurosurgeons, volunteers are always welcome.

Volunteers who commit to more than 7 days in Ethiopia will have their airfare paid by KANS.

Room and board are provided by the hospital for all volunteers.
